I was contacted by a representative from the Skelmersdale United football club, they required a new website for a club redesign

The client wanted a modern, up to date website that incorporated all the features needed to run a football club. I added their Twitter feed to the homepage along with a brief introduction to their club.

Under this, I put the next match along with a countdown to kickoff and last match result. Keeping to the club’s colours this allows fans to know exactly when the next match is.

I added a “Key News” section to allow the club to communicate news and updates about the club. A featured image helps convey the message and a brief excerpt is displayed along with a “read more” link to allow fans to read the full article.

The “Fixtures” page has the latest result at the top, formatted in an eye catching way. This is updated after every match to reflect the latest match.

We added a “Club” section to the site containing match day info, directions to the stadium and ticket prices. We also added a link to purchase tickets online to make it as easy as possible for fans to see the matches.

Club history, an “about us” and sponsors pages let fans get closer to the team and to visit the pages of sponsors that help the club.

This was a great project and the club is extremely happy with the result
